Facebook digs through user data and graphs U.S. happiness | Technology | Los Angeles Times

And that right there is the difference between Facebook and Twitter. Twitter is open and accessible to all by default (unless you protect your tweets), meaning you can use the data in number of interesting ways. Facebook is closed unless you give people access. Meaning that only Facebook itself can do anything meaningful with the data. And even then it’s likely to inspire the sort of negative privacy-related reactions shown in this piece.

Saying that, I’m sure that I’ve searched updates before for ‘Thames’ รก la twitter.com/thamesstories. I got some results out of it (albeit not very interesting ones), so maybe this is a bit of a non-story.
